Annie
I had so much fun creating this pattern. Our beautiful, short tail cat, Annie, loved to look out the window in our Arizona house. She came to us as a rescue kitten, with a short tail. The vet wasn’t sure whether it was like that from birth, or from trauma, but it was healed when we got her. Like all cats, she was precious. She loved looking out at our front garden. I captured this image of her one day, and decided to turn it into a quilt block.
She later moved to the Northwest with our daughter, and became a loving caretaker of a family member - just as our other cat, Rudy, had done. You can read his story on our Cat Window Platform project.
When you give your heart to a rescue animal, they will give you theirs in return.
